Algarve Theme Parks

Below are details on the five main theme parks and tourist places of interest that are open on the Algarve.

There are also a number of festivals taking place throughout the year including large rock concerts, local fares and fetes.

There are water parks with fantastic flumes and slides dotted throughout the Algarve and in particular near Vilamoura. The best advice we can give is to visit the tourist office at Faro Airport or the resort that you are staying in for local information.

Unfortunately many of the attractions on the Algarve are not open until late and even in the summer they won´t be open much after 7.00pm.

Zoomarine - A water park with a selection of Dolphin, Seal and Sea Lion shows, there are also rides, a large reptile and tropical fish aquarium and a large swimming pool area. You can read more about our personal experience at Zoomarine

A 760m race track that is designed to replicate the Brazilian Circuit of Jacarepagua. There are also various other rides and attractions at the karting track including a mechanical bull, trampolines and electric boats.

Opening: 10:00am - 10:00pm in the summer & 10:00am - 8:00pm in the winter

Prices: Adults €15 - €25.00 Kids €5 - €11 depending on the type of kart you rent and duration of hire.

A zoo that has over 250 animals that belong to more than 50 different species from all over the world. An educational farm, exotic plants and a whole host of activities on offer.

A selection of different Safaris are on offer including four wheel drive vehicles, boats and jeeps. The different trips on offer can include lunches and exciting drives through large Nature Reserves.

Krazyworld is a real mixture of things to do, in a way there's something for everyone, a large swimming pool with sun beds set within nice gardens, two crazy golf courses, a reptile area, an animal petting area and even a large elephant and some great horses.
