If you head upstairs from the arrivals hall you will also find a large coffee shop and separate seating area. Coffee, tea and snacks are served throughout the day and as a guide a tea or coffee costs around €2.50.

Between April and October each year there is also good roof top coffee shop / cafe that provides a good viewing point and some snacks and drinks at good prices.

If you head up to the main departure hall you will find a sweetshop, a bar selling alcoholic drinks, a coffee shop and a newspaper shop that sells all the main daily newspapers from many countries around the world. The UK papers on sale in Portugal are no longer a day out of date and are now delivered there are the same day.

As you go through into the main departures lounge you will find the usual selection of airport shops selling perfumes, cigarettes and "Duty Free" goods. Other shops include a Sunglass Hut and Watch Station, Football Corner, isanti and Lune Bleu fashion and accessory outlets.

As a guide cigarettes are considerably cheaper in Portugal than in the UK and you will find many other goods that cost less than in the UK.

The Guia shopping complex can be found just outside Albufeira and the Algarve Forum is just on the western edge of Faro City. Both offer a wide selection of familiar name shops and restaurants that are undercover
