Hi Deisree
Not from Faro Airport BUT you need to get the bus or taxi into Faro Bus Station and then get a bus from there up to Seville.
All info here...

Check in Time From Faro Airport

Hi Gary
We are flying back to UK from Faro Airport at 09:55 on 1st July. We have to arrange transfers from our hotel and would like to know how long before our flight, that we have to be at the airport.
Kind Regards
Kim Vaile

Hi Kim

Sorry for the delays in coming back to you.

Your airline dictates what times you have to check in BUT most are the same....

You should be at the airport 2 hours before take off BUT the check in desks are normally open until 30 mins before take off.

AS its the end of your holiday I would go for the 2 hours, no point being stressed after a great holiday!

I am off to Portugal for my holidays in 5 weeks! But I am lucky, I drive there from Spain!

Smoking at Faro Airport

Hi Gary
I am traveling to Faro at the end of April, I know smoking is banned in most of the Spanish airports now, what is the situation at Faro?I don't seem to be able to find any info and this is my first trip to Portugal.
Also, I have difficulty in walking distance, is the airport friendly enough with this (do they have travelators that work) I do not need a wheelchair as long as there is some sort of help.
Hope you can help with some info.
Thanks Jean

Regarding the smoking, Im not entirely sure. Even in some of the Spanish Airports there are specific areas or rooms where you can smoke.. I would assume no smoking, then if you can its a bonus.

Regarding assisntance. The following is what is written on their website.
Assistance for Passengers with Reduced Mobility
Support services for passengers with reduced mobility are provided by special handlers from your airline.
The Faro Airport is equipped with lifts/elevators and toilet facilities to accommodate persons in wheel chairs
So you need to mention to your airline with whom you are flying with.

Bars at Faro Airport

Dear Gary,Hello from Canada, *smiles*Thank you for your great webpage, and for offering your help.My girlfriend and I are arriving in Faro at 4 pm (in May), and we'rewaiting for another girlfriend to join us when her flight gets in at 6:40pm. We have a flat in Luz that we'll be heading to.My question is - do you think the two of us should wait the 2 1/2 hours forour friend at the airport? Is there a fun bar at the airport for us tomake friends at? We'll be with our luggage, so taking a wander aroundtown while we wait doesn't really appeal to us.Or is Luz close enough for Kathleen and myself to go there and then scootback to the airport at 6:40?Trust me, we have no problems making friends wherever we go. *chuckling*Does any of this even make sense? *laughing*I've left my home email address as well (in the CC) in case you answer thison the weekend. (This is my work email)Thank you in advance for your answer.Kind regards,Three single gals from Alberta

Hi Bettina,
Faro Airport is very small and although there are a couple of bars they are not what I would call fun!

I think it would be prudnet to wait for your friend as by th time you get to luz and sort out your apartment it will be time to go right back to the airport.
The best place to sit is in the roof top bar!
Hope that you girls have a great trip!
Regards

Gary

Faro Airport Guide - New Site

Hi,

We have just revamped the site and given it a totally new look and feel, hopefully for the better.

Whilst we ere doing this we felt that it was time to add a blog to the site so that we can share some of our travel knowledge with our visitors.

We already run a hugely popular blog on our sister site Spanish Airport Guide.
