Faro flights from Glasgow

Flights to FaroWe used to spend hours researching information on airlines and flights from various UK destinations to Faro, but it was very difficult to keep our guide up to date with the timetables and schedules constantly changing.

So have now found a really good gadget below which gives you all the information that you need. And the best news of all is that it takes you direct to the site for the airlines involved to make the actual reservation and not through a booking agent who will often add on a commission fee.

The flights should take about 3 hours and 30 minutes and one of the great things is that you do not have to change your clocks as Portugal is on the same time zone as the UK.

Further Information On Faro

Praia da Rocha beach in FaroThe historic town of Faro has both Arab and Roman ruins – the old part of the city is still surrounded by the Roman walls, but most of the attractive older buildings were constructed after the earthquakes of 1755 and 1532.

If you are planning to eat in Faro head for the pedestrianised area on either side of Rua de Santo Antonio for a huge choice of restaurants, cafes and bakeries selling almond delicacies. Or you might prefer Faro’s small harbour with its cluster of cafes and yachts.

You will find some lively bars - many with guest DJ’s and live music - centered around Rua Conselheiro Bivar and Rua do Prior and Rua da Madalena, but they don’t tend to get going until around midnight!

Faro also has a number of traditional shopping streets selling local goods including linen, leather, rugs, pottery and wines.

Within this guide you will also find details on all taxis, buses and private transfers at Faro Airport along with a comprehensive guide to the car hire on offer.

Faro Airport is well located and most of the popular resorts such as Vale Do Lobo, Vilamoura, Albufeira and Portimao are all within a 45 minute journey of this popular airport.
