When you visit the Algarve make sure you spend a day in Faro's historic port and Cidade Velha - old town. The Algarve's capital is crammed with shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, and you can take a boat trip out to the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa where there are all sorts of nature tours, boat trips and bird watching tours available.
