The Bus at Faro Airport
There are two types of buses from Faro, public transport and private shuttle buses.
The main public bus only heads into the centre of Faro so if you are travelling to one of the resorts along the Algarve it would be better to pre book a shared shuttle bus via Shuttle Direct.
You can find the bus stop just outside of the main terminal building on the right (as you have the terminal building behind you).
The bus service runs into the centre of Faro at regular intervals and we have listed the "Official" timetable below. Please bear in mind that the buses at Faro Airport do not run a service that matches the timetable minute for minute.

Times of the buses from Faro Airport to Faro Centre
The buses operate 7 days a week leaving the airport at: 07:08, 07:22, 07:42, 08:32, 09:07, 09:37, 10:07, 10:47, 12:07, 12:47, 13:37, 14:32, 15:07, 16:12, 17:12, 17:47, 18:57, 19:22, 20:07and 21.17. (Journey time is around 20 minutes and the single fare is €1.65).

Apart from the Faro Airport bus the other transport options that you have are the Faro Airport taxis or to pre book Faro Airport transfers which are good value and offer a shared shuttle service or private transfer.
Probably the most cost effective and best way to travel to your holiday destination is to hire a car at Faro Airport. The costs involved in hiring a car can be less than the costs or return taxis and this may be a valid option because of the limited routes the Faro Airport buses offer.
