Faro flights from Belfast

flights to faroWe used to spend hours researching information on airlines and flights from various UK destinations to Faro, but it was very difficult to keep our guide up to date with the timetables and schedules constantly changing.

So have now found a really good gadget below which gives you all the information that you need. And the best news of all is that it takes you direct to the site for the airlines involved to make the actual reservation and not through a booking agent who will often add on a commission fee.

The flights normally take around three hours and unlike most of mainland Europe, Portugal is on the same time zone as the UK and Ireland so there is no need to change your clocks when you get here.

Further Information on Faro

Praia da Rocha beach in FaroTempting though it may be to head straight to the Algarve’s beach resorts when you land at Faro, it is worth visiting the cosmopolitan town of Faro. It has a very attractive and historic centre with a sleepy palm-lined marina from which distinctive mosaic-paved central streets lead off to shops and cafés.  Make sure you take a stroll round Cidade Velha which is the partly walled old town whose church towers are often capped with storks’ nests.

The Algarve rivals the southern Spain for its good weather and great golf. Faro is the main airport for international flights and from here you can reach Tavira to the east and the famous golf resorts of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo to the West.

Hiring a car is a must if you want to discover some off the tourist route restaurants and beaches. If you like good wines and southern cuisine you will love the Portuguese food.

Within this site you can find information on Faro Airport transfers, Faro Airport taxis and the whole range of services and facilities that are on offer at Faro Airport.

The Airport itself is quite well positioned and is only about a 15 minute drive from the actual City Center in Faro. Portimao and Albufeira are about a 45 minute drive where as resorts such as Vale Do Lobo and Vilamoura are within half an hours drive.
